Vetmed prides itself on having a collegial atmosphere: providing a supportive environment for all team members. There is a structured induction program for all new staff members and we have developed a veterinary Mentoring Program and Buddy Program to provide vets an added level of support. The Mentor Program enables the Senior veterinary team to learn from and mentor the associate vets while the Buddy Program teams up vets of similar experience levels to support one another. This fosters an excellent team atmosphere which is built on when the whole team comes together for a monthly vet meeting to share ideas, foster discussions and discuss protocols, challenging cases and share CPD.
At Vetmed we strive for the highest level of veterinary medicine and continuing education is the most important avenue to success with this goal. We are an ASAV accredited veterinary hospital and all our Senior Vets have passed ANZCVS Membership or equivalent. The senior veterinary team have been with Vetmed for over 10 years each and as such are committed to fostering the development of their associate vet team members.
Our support staff are well trained with a structured nurse training program that fosters development through the phases of vet nursing. Dedicated practice managers at each clinic aid the Customer Care Team to ensure that each customer gets the experience and client journey they deserve. Our schedule is designed for excellent time for each appointment as well as specific lunch and administrative time.
Vetmed is a well established, growing and independently owned vet practice with four branches across Sydney. The flagship practice is a purpose built clinic in Randwick in the Eastern Suburbs with three clinics across the North Shore (Northbridge, Lindfield and Forestville). Our clinics have all the equipment of an excellent general practice with ultrasound, digital radiology, full dental equipment, dedicated operating theatres: giving us the ability to perform all surgical procedures expected in general practice to the highest level. In addition, we have laparoscopic equipment that enables minimally invasive desexing, bladder surgery, liver biopsies and joint evaluations. Rigid and flexible endoscopy and full orthopaedic equipment allow us to perform investigational diagnostics and our experienced surgeons perform TPLO cruciate surgery and fracture repairs.
The vet we are looking for is a clinician that loves being a vet and is passionate about their role in strengthening the bond between people and their pets.
