Dr Vertina Teh

Associate Veterinary

Vertina grew up in Singapore and moved to Sydney more than 18 years ago with her family. She graduated from the University of Sydney in 2020 after being awarded a Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience with first class honours and again in 2026 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

Vertina took a brief break between her studies and found herself in the VetMed team as a veterinary nurse/receptionist/kennel hands, seeing firsthand how precious and beautiful bond between people and their pets can be while working across the VetMed branches. Staying on as a vet, Vertina is now cultivating an interest in dermatology and laparoscopic surgery, striving always to give patients the best care with every visit.

Outside of work, Vertina is a slave to her dwarf lop rabbit, Clover, who hopped his way into her life after being brought into VetMed Forest as a stray four years ago. She enjoys a good cup of tea while working on little polymer clay figures, and with the right weather, a snorkel or a scuba dive.
