Tips for Moving house with your Pets- The flea plaque and a barking welcome

I had the joy last weekend to move house with my 2 Japanese Spitzs. The move it self went fine and we have settled in ok, except for my 2 puppies barking at the dog next door and the major flea plaque left from the previous tenants cats.

I just read an article in the Toronto Sun where they are euthanizing 330 dogs and cats in Ontario SPCA because they had ring worm. Ring worm is a curable fungal disease of the skin, although are difficult disease to eradicate. So I’m don’t think this is the right time. On the other hand my Father in laws most loved Staffie was put to sleep the other day because he could no longer get up to go to the toilet and became incontinent, this was the right decision as he quality of life was poor and deteriorating .

Why own a pet, what’s in it for me?
In Australia 8 out of 10 people have owned a pet at sometime, and 2 out of 3 households own a pet now. Wow we sure love our pets in OZ! The benefits for owning a pet have both social and health advantages. Here are some:
